• A typical 40AH lead-acid battery which weight around 15Kgs, can be replaced with a lithium-ion battery weight only around 0.5Kgs

• Due to size and weight, it can be very easily mounted just below the solar panel

• Lithium-ion batteries have a long life of 5 years

• Lithium-ion batteries have a unique ability to charge within 3 to 5 hours and unlike 12 to 16 hours in that of lead-acid batteries
• In case of Lithium-ion batteries, the complete energy generated by the solar panel gets converted to energy. Due to this property, a much smaller panel can be used for charging

• A very common problem faced by customers is that the lead-acid batteries are being stolen
• Lithium-ion batteries cannot be stolen because of the below 2 reasons
– It is mounted 4 meters above the ground
– Its voltage and rating is such that it cannot be used in any consumer application
